Whoa. This is a change. “Don’t you usually focus on city or land scapes? The lush greens or the steely facades?” Well, the answer would be yes but why do I want to pigeon-hole myself? Why would I want to narrow my focus and not expand my abilities into newer waters?
I’ve always had an eye on other genre’s of photography. I thought this would be a great time to try a different subject and what better than exploring The MET’s Heavenly Bodies exhibit with this new lens of mine (read previous story here). Now of course, these subjects we’re stationary and lit perfectly! Honestly, MET, you’re got some great people in your org! This random find (okokok, The Met is not a random find but the exhibit was… to me at least) was amazing!
It wasn’t just the lighting or the staging that was amazing. The costumes that were on display from this years Met Gala were absolutely breath taking. The intricate detail in each was so unique and different and well… almost personal. So much love and care went into each one. True art. I hope my photos below do them justice! Enjoy!
